Essence and FBC have teamed up to put on a dynamic event to get July started, and talent was throughout the building. Here are my RBA Noticeables from day one…
Alana DeWitt (5'8/Wing/'29/AEBL Elite [15U])
IG: alana.dewitt / wer1girlz
X: @alanajdewitt / @wer1girlz
Alana is a highly instinctive player on both ends of the floor. She has a really good feel and understanding of the game to be a young prospect and to be playing up a couple of grades. She played within herself as she looked to take advantage of her opportunities when they presented themselves. She didn't force action but showed her budding IQ as she took what the defense gave her. She has three-level scoring capacity and reads situations well on the defensive end of the floor.
Kitali Youmans (5'6/PG/'25/Bouncenation 4Real 17U)
IG: KitaliYoumans
X: @KitaliYoumans
I have seen Kitali several times over the years, with the last time being earlier this grassroots season. She is a floor general with a mature floor game and does a really good job running the show and getting everyone involved. She is a difficult cover as she stays hunting the lane, where she shows her heady decision-making skills once she gets in the heart of the defense. She is constantly making the right reads, whether it is dropping dimes to those in the dunker spot, spraying to shooters, or looking for her own scoring opportunities. She has to continue to work on her strength and speed as she prepares for life at the next level. She listed the following two offers: the University of South Carolina Beaufort and the University of North Georgia.
Ann Magee Stradinger (5'7/CG/'25/SR1 Lady All Stars)
IG: amstradinger
X: @amstradinger / @SR1ALLStars
Ann is a mature backcourt prospect who showed her ability to score from all levels. She is tough off the bounce and does a good job getting to the cup. She is also a good shooter off the catch or dribble and knocks down the three-point shot consistently, keeping the defense having to defend her at every level. Ann shows good self-creation ability with an ok handle as she still needs to improve her handle on the ball versus high pressure. She was one of the best playmakers I saw on day 1, who balanced scoring and facilitating. She is not the most athletic player, and she has to get stronger and faster as she eyes life at the next level.
Jocelyn Faison (6'1/G|F/'25/FBC Legacy 17u)
IG: jocelynfaison_1
X: @jocelynfaison
One of the most dynamic players I saw on day 1 was Jocelyn. She has good positional size along with a wingspan that helps her on both ends of the floor. She has a potent and prolific scoring arsenal and had her all-around game on full display. She is a playmaker who is a really good finisher in the paint and at the cup, as well as a quality outside shooter. She is primarily a slasher who lived in the paint and kept the defense collapsing, trying to contain her. She makes plays in traffic with her athleticism and her decision-making ability. She showed an aggressive mindset, and if she ever smells blood in the water, opponents are going to have a long night because she is coming. Shot selection can be questionable as she forces the action at times. She listed the following offers in her profile. Ole Miss, Clemson, FSU, Georgia Tech, UGA
Daija Preston (5'9/CG/'25/Team Berry 17U)
IG: pvo.daidai / teamberryaau
X: @daija_preston / @Coachmikewill23
Daija showed her ability to produce while playing on and off the ball. One thing I was really impressed with when it came to Daija was her passing abilities. Her post-entry pass almost had me about to get up and run around the gym, as so many players cannot effectively make the pass. She showed her offensive prowess as she can hit shots off the dribble or the catch-and-shoot. In the game I watched, she was really effective at being a reliable ball-handler and creator off the bounce. I need to watch her again to hone in on some areas in which she has opportunities to grow as she eyes the next level. She listed the following offers: Providence, Willian and Mary, UNO, Stoney Brook, St. John's, Mercer, GSU, UMASS.
Milica Lazarevic (6'1/G|F/'25/Zone 6 Celtics)
IG: Lazarevicm__
X: @Lazarevicm__
Milica is a talented and highly skilled prospect. She has wiggle to her game as she showed that containing her is a job for more than one defender. She is a playmaker who is a reliable ball-handler who can orchestrate and provide scoring. She plays at her own pace and used her savviness, skill, and intelligence to impact the game I was watching. She has very good court awareness and vision, as she can score or locate shooters from any area on the floor. Like many 2025 kids I saw on day 1 who are looking to play at the next level, she has to continue to get stronger and quicker. She listed the following offer in her profile: University of New Orleans.
