Here is a look into several floor generals who made an impact at Mississippi Post-Grad/Juco Jamboree…
Brandon Royal (6'2/Point Guard/Post-Grad/Piney Woods)

X: @Beeski3k
IG: coach_t_318
X: @CoachTcarr88
Brandon is a score-first PG who had the scoring arsenal on full display. He is extremely tough to contain in the open floor as he was getting to the cup at will. He is a really good finisher at the rim in both the halfcourt and in the open floor. As good as he was at scoring off the bounce, he showed his ability to be a threat from behind the arc. He is a lead guard who handles at a high level and can distribute the rock and get teammates involved. He is a competitor who competed just as hard on the defensive end of the floor as he did on the offensive end. He has strong natural instincts for the position and showed a high level of play at the position.
Ji'Siah Fernandez (6'1/Point Guard/Post-Grad/Piney Woods)
IG: _.jisiah
X: @Jisiah8
IG: coach_t_318
X: @CoachTcarr88
Ji'Siah is a solid PG who showed his ability to be a reliable lead guard. He was aggressive and stayed attacking the middle causing the defensive collapse. He made really good decisions with the rock when he was in the interior of the defense and looking to score or pass to open teammates. When he looked to finish, he showed his scoring craftiness and his ability to finish in traffic and through contact. He knocked down the trey ball when open, showing his ability to score from outside. He is sturdy, handles the blitz, plays with poise, and takes care of the ball.
Joshua Moore (5’10/Point Guard/Post-Grad/Strength-N-Motion)
IG: Bam1.k
X: @Jmoore3_
IG: Strengthnmotion_intl
X: @Snmotion
Joshua proved to be a pass-first PG as well as a two-way threat. There was nothing flashy about his game, but he proved to be highly trustworthy while running the show. He took care of the ball while doing a good job of getting his team into their sets and getting the rock to his playmakers. He was tough to contain off the bounce as he put constant pressure on the defense and kept teams having to rotate. He plays like a coach on the floor, isn't afraid to give up his body by taking charges, and did a good job controlling tempo.
Javian Watkins (5'5/Point Guard/Freshman/Copiah Lincoln Community College)
IG: jay._800
X: @WatkinsJavian
IG: colin.mbb
X: @CoLinMensBKB
Javian is a small lead guard but plays with toughness and grit. He has really good vision and passing skills to deliver the rock when opportunities open up, even in a small window. He is a tremendous orchestrator and distributor. He is cerebral, shows good leadership, and even can take hard coaching as I saw his coach get on him hard about a play that could be costly in a game that carried a lot of weight. There is no question that due to his size, Javian needs to tighten up his defense and become a more physical defender.
Deven Bates (6'2/PG/FR/Copiah Lincoln Community College)
IG: Cbg_.deven
X: @Cbg_deven
IG: Colin.mbb
Deven is an extremely quick lead guard with a lightning-quick first step. His scoring prowess off the bounce in iso situations was lethal, and he lived in the paint throughout the day. He can attack going either way, and life is hard for defenders when they are out in isolation against him. He can flat-out score the rock, and with him being a secondary initiator of the offense, he is able to choose how to attack and manipulate possessions at the start of the possession. Defensively, Deven is good with his feet and active with his hands. He is a solid defender who pressures ball-handlers and forces them into committing turnovers.
Dexter Smith (6'2/Point Guard/Sophomore/Calhoun Community College)
IG: therealdexsmith
X: @therealdexsmith
IG: warhawkmbb
X: @warhawkmbb
Dexter is a lead guard who kept the team in the flow of the offense and executing with efficiency. He scored from multiple levels and did a good job balancing scoring and facilitating. Dexter has some intriguing tools, as he can play on or off the ball despite the lead guard spot being his primary position. He was good at making plays for himself and for his teammates.
Braylen Hall (5'11/Point Guard/Freshman/South Arkansas Stars)
IG: _.lilhall
X: @hall_braylen
X: @SouthArkMBB
Braylen was full of energy and put in unmatched effort on both ends of the floor. He is a small lead guard who plays extremely hard. He stood out on the defensive end of the floor as he was very aggressive, picking up full court and turning ball-handlers multiple times before getting to halfcourt. His team did not look to him for scoring, but he did a good job getting the ball to his teammates, who carried that load. His two-way impact will be needed for his team's success this season.
Nehemiah Ratliff (6'1/Point Guard/Sophomore/South Arkansas Community College)
IG: _thene_nemo
X: @nemo_hoops
Nehemiah showed his scoring repertoire with his ability to finish from behind the arc and off the bounce. He is tough off the bounce and a crafty finisher at the rim. He does a really good job of getting by his man and getting into the lane to score or drop it off for an assist. He is a capable secondary initiator of the offense who is capable of getting his team in their sets, and he understands where the team needs to go for scoring.
Dylan Joshua Dominique (6'1/Point Guard/Freshman/Baton Rouge Community College)
IG: _Dylanjoshua

IG: brccathletics
Dylan has a solid all-around game and showed an impressive scoring skillset. He created separation and got into his shots by utilizing shot fakes and jabs. His court awareness, along with his vision and passing skills, allows him to see things unfolding before they fully happen. He is an instinctive lead guard who is good at making winning plays. The best part of his game was scoring, which he did with a ton of confidence.
DeMajh Salsibery (6'1/Point Guard/Freshman/Wallace-Selma)

Demajh impressed me with his ability to play a mature game. He has all the tools needed from a lead guard, and he impacted the game by producing across the score sheet (even though stats were not being taken). He showed that he could be trusted with the keys to the squad as he excelled at running the offense. He is a multi-dimensional lead guard who was efficient with his offensive opportunities. I really liked his game as he valued possessions and never really forced action but played within himself, which helped the execution of his team while he was on the floor.
Deion Wesson (6'1/Point Guard/Freshman/3 River Raiders)
IG: Trapfasionz_
X: @Wessondeion1
IG: 3rmensbasketball
I did not see anyone during the day who was a better defender than Deion. He gave ball-handlers fits and made them earn everything on every possession. If I were giving out defensive awards, he would have definitely been the best perimeter defender I saw. Offensively, he did a good job creating off the bounce and finding teammates for easy looks, the part of his game in which he was the best. He set the tone on the defensive end of the floor, which fueled his play on offense.
Tyler Mallory (5'9/Point Guard/Sophomore/Reid State)
IG: Glizzzy.tyler
X: @Tyleryoungbull
X: @Reid State MBB
Tyler is a small lead guard who ran the show for his squad and proved to be the player that everything for this team must find its way through. He is needed to run the show, but he showed that his scoring prowess is also needed for his team to have success. He is slender, but that doesn't stop him from competing on both ends of the floor. He makes really good reads out of the pick-and-roll and has a knack for finding his shooters off dribble penetration. I liked his fight on the defensive end of the floor because, at 5'9, teams will target him.
Sean Lopez (6'0/Point Guard/High School (2027)/The Skill Factory)
IG: _5starr.sean_
X: @_Seannn2
IG: tsf_national/theskillfactory
X: @TheSkillFactory
Sean is a small lead guard who shot the ball exceptionally well from behind the arc with range. He did not spend a lot of time at the head of the ship, but he showed the ability to be able to step into the position at any time and run the show. However, as mentioned, he shot the ball well from the perimeter, showing his ability to help space the floor and keep defenders from sagging too far into the paint. He is surrounded by guards who also spend time at the lead guard spot, so the time is divided, resulting in a lot of time being spent on the wing despite his natural position being the PG spot.
Jeremiah Hayes (6'1/Point Guard/Freshman/Cleveland State Community College)
IG: jhayes23_
Jeremiah is a gritty lead guard who doesn't mind mixing it up with and challenging the bigs in the paint or at the rim. He is PG that doesn't hurt his team as he values the ball and has a really good PG IQ. He will be depended on to haul a lot of minutes for his squad, as they will need his consistent play at the position. He is smart, skilled, and has a strong drive game that creates opportunities for himself and his teammates.
