Here are a few standouts making significant impacts at #UANext…

Cameron Newman (6'1/PG/'26/Team Charlotte)

Cam is a reliable floor general who does a good job initiating the offense, keeping his squad flowing, and keeping everyone happy with his ability to distribute the rock equally. In the game I saw him compete, he came out looking for his offense early, and despite struggling a little from behind the arc, he finally got it going after seeing a few go through the nets. He balances scoring and facilitating and makes really good decisions with the rock, as he has a high PG IQ. He is really good at rallying his team and keeping them competing at a high level. He listed the following offers in his profile: Queens University, North Carolina A&T, Western Carolina.

Marcus Gillespie (6'5/CG/'25/Atlanta Express)

X: @Marcuslanier23 / @Atlxpress

Marcus is a versatile scoring option who can really shoot it from deep. He qualified for sniper school, which was indicative of his production from behind the arc. His size allows him to see over smaller defenders and either shoot over the top or have clear vision to make on-time and on-target passes. Marcus is a guy who can be relied on to be in the right spots at the right time, as he is a really good option for teammates looking to spray the rock out onto the perimeter. With his size he has the ability to provide a spark on both offense and defense. He listed the following offers in his profile: Georgia Tech, Louisiana, and Kennesaw State.

Bryce Slay(6'6/SG/'25/Team Curry)

IG: Bryceslay_2 / Teamcurry

X: @Bryceslay / @Teamcurry

Bryce was very productive in the scoring column in the game I saw him play, but his cerebral approach and ability to hurt opposing teams with his mind was impressive. He has a high IQ and does a really good job reading the floor on both ends. He shot the ball well from behind the arc, moved well without the ball, showed his understanding of coming off screens and reading whether to flare or curl, and made some really crafty passes. Bryce showed his value as a playmaker, his ability to spread the floor with his shooting, and his ability to open things up with his slashing and creation off of the dribble. He listed the following offers in his profile:

FIU

Stetson

JMU

Marshall

UNCC

Pepperdine

Charleston

Wake Forest

Illinois State

Winthrop

Cortez Graham Howard(6'5/CG/'25/BMaze Elite)

IG: iamcortezgrahamh / bmazeelite

Cortez is known to be a productive scorer from behind the arc, but he struggled from deep in the game I saw him play. He did not allow his off-shooting night to affect other parts of the game, which he does well, which is facilitate and defend. He is a disruptive defender and makes hustle plays on both ends of the floor. He does whatever it takes to win, and whatever role he can play to support winning, he accepts it. When it could have easily been a moment where he hung his head because of how he was shooting, he was still the most engaged when he was out of the game, cheering on his squad. He listed the following offers in his profile: TSU and Grambling State.

Shon Abaev(6'8/CG/'25/SOH Elite)

IG: Bucketboyshon / sohelite

X: @shon_abaev / @soh_elite

ESPN Ranking: #36 ESPN100

Shon is one of the most dynamic scorers and prospects at #UANext. He is a highly sought-after '25 prospect, which was evident with the court being filled with college coaches at every game he played. Not to mention, he hit me up and said he has too many offers to list on the profile I asked him to complete, and if you have followed him at all, you know, as we used to say back in the day, 'HE AIN'T LYING!' He shot the ball exceptionally well from behind the arc but also showed his ability to put it on the floor and score off the dribble in his middle game and at the cup. I don't get to see him in person often, but he was more vocal when I watched him. He can play on and off the ball without dropping in production at either spot. He is the caliber player that causes defenses to overload their coverage in attempts to slow him down because he is so hard to contain with just one defender. It is very difficult to stop him, but it is even difficult to slow him down with just one defender.
